Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

1. How do I use Cloud Pads?

  • Pre-Wash: Before first use, wash your Cloud Pads to enhance absorbency.
  • Placement: Place the pad on your underwear with the soft side facing up.
  • Secure: Wrap the wings around the underside of your underwear and snap the button to secure it in place.
  • Changing Frequency: You don’t necessarily need to change cloth pads as frequently as disposable pads, but it depends on your flow and comfort level.

    General Recommendation:

      • Heavy Flow Days: Change every 3-4 hours (similar to disposables).
      • Moderate Flow Days: Change every 4-6 hours.
      • Light Flow Days: Change every 6-8 hours or as needed.
      • Overnight Use: Our Night Pad is designed for all-night protection, so you don’t need to wake up to change it!

2. How do I clean and disinfect the pads?

  • Rinse: After use, rinse the pad under cold water to remove excess blood.
  • Washing: Hand wash or machine wash the pads with a mild detergent. Avoid using fabric softeners or bleach, as they can affect absorbency.
  • Water Temperature: Use cold or lukewarm water (below 40°C) to prevent stains from setting.
  • Drying: Air dry the pads under direct sunlight when possible, as sunlight acts as a natural disinfectant. Alternatively, tumble dry on a low setting.

3. Will blood stains remain on the pad?

Prompt rinsing and proper washing typically prevent stains. For stubborn stains, soaking the pad in cold water with a bit of natural stain remover or baking soda before washing can be effective. Over time, some discoloration may occur, but this doesn't impact the pad's effectiveness.

4. How many pads should I purchase?

The number of pads needed varies based on individual flow and personal preference. A general recommendation is:

  • Daytime Use: 5-7 pads
  • Nighttime Use: 2-3 pads

Starting with our Starter Kit can help you determine which sizes and absorbencies suit your needs best.

5. How long do the pads last?

With proper care, each pad can last between 2-3 years, making them a sustainable and cost-effective alternative to disposable products. Regular maintenance ensures longevity and optimal performance.

6. What materials are used in Cloud Pads?

Our pads are made from GOTS & OEKO-TEX certified organic cotton, ensuring they are free from harmful chemicals and safe for sensitive skin. They are also unbleached and undyed, promoting a natural and eco-friendly menstrual care option.
